Tested on Factorio v0.15.33 and it seems to work just fine for me. Although I did change a couple of lines of code to enable any type of modded burner inserter (long, filter, etc) to leech. My version can be copy-pasted from here. Simply replace control.lua from this mod with my version
EDIT: Oh, I just remembered. The problem you may have had is that this mod does not retroactively apply to existing inserters. You must mine and replace every single burner inserter after enabling the mod to notice the change. It should remember after the first run.
