g Coke ratios

Hello, I love this mod but I want to make a suggestion.

In the early game you need coke for many things and the fact that a single coal breaks into 4 coke with a 25% power each makes really hard to manage the loading with the weak inserters from the start. Having to load coke so often makes the inserter unable to keep up and extremely power consuming itself.

I guess that implementation comes from realism, but from a playability perspective I think that should be rebalance.

I definitely plan to change this a bit. You are still going to need quite a lot of coke, though. A realistic ratio would be 1 coke per 2-3 iron ore to produce steel, for example.

Great. In the mean time I was experimenting with different ratios (1:1, 1:2 both seem very manageable). But I just downloaded the lastest version for the belt patch and I lost my modifications. Is there a way to keep my changes while still getting updates? Like making my own local mod to override a couple recipes?

Yes, that is possible. You can have a look at my old hotfix mod for a small example.
