Can you create an example of how a single empty train supply can feed an Iron ore requester and a Copper ore requestor?
Perhaps how they can go to their respective supply depots, and return to the empty depot?

I am not aware of any way to achieve that. Each resource needs its own empty supply depot, its not possible to have a shared supply depot that the resource requesters can pull from.

When I setup my supply depots I pair them with their empty supply depot, and put a station limit on both stations when the train signal on the entry point to match the open flag.
