It'd be great if you could use the resource_autoplace_settings from the resource-autoplace.lua library.

It'd overlaps with existing resources, which has happened a few times in the my games, and is always a bit awkward. It should be a fairly simple translation from the current code, just passing some of the params into the function call rather than creating the autoplace table yourself.

If you would accept a patch, but don't want to write it yourself, I'd certainly see about doing that -- but if you don't want the change, no problem.
