I use a mod called Power Grid Comb which cleans up power pole connections, making for a much nicer map view. A small QOL mod imo. Transmission towers don't seem to like being hit with the comb, though it didn't crash. I was charging off one and hit a new smelting BP with the comb and happened to catch the tower in it, completely broke the mod. Now I permanently have the red laser chasing me from the location of the tower, even after removing the tower and coil from my armor. Restarted the game as well. Just an odd interaction I thought I'd mention. Unsure if there's anything you can do about it, but it should be recreatable on your end.
