I would like to know if it is possible to limit the number of subsurfaces in a mods parameter for example (default to 0 = unlimited).

I would like to be able to use your mod in addition to RitnMiner.
That the stone be exploitable only on the subsurface and have only one subsurface and no more.

Or perhaps be able to manage the number of subsurfaces using remote commands as well.

Go to Settings > Mod Settings > Map > Scroll down to the option to change the subsurface limit there if that helps, my low IQ brain can't really understand your question if this isn't what you needed
