Yes you can use trains. There are not really caves yet
can trains travel to the subsurface and back up
No because of pathfinding
well a mod i use has made a way to do it by turning the ways to go to the lares into stations that you tell the train to go to and win it dose to that station it tps the train to the tunles station if you wood like to know the mod i can tell you it
